I am wondering about other people's experience with housing a blenny and goby in the same tank. My wife wants a watchman gobie and I have recently purchased a lawnmower blenny. They would be housedbin a 75 gallon tank. I'm just wondering if the similar body shape, color and size would cause them to become aggressive towards each other?

Put a Starry Blenny and a Pink Watchman Goby through QT a few months back. The Starry B. literally tried to kill the Goby. Vicious. Separated them with eggcrate. The Starry B. tried to squeeze through to get to the Goby. Added 1/4" mesh to the eggcrate. That stopped him, after he tried to bite and pull his way past the 1/4" mesh & eggcrate. So they went through QT for about 6 weeks. Put them both in the 90 DT and they are fine together. Never see any aggression in the DT. Fish are weird.:eek:

I have a sand hopper blenny and a gold headed sleeper goby in a 20 gallon QT tank right now. Been there two weeks and they get along famously. Put them in together and there has been zero aggression

I have a lawnmower and a sand sifter. The lawnmower could care less about the sand sifter or any other gobys I have. Be sure you have algae for the lawnmower to eat.

Cool then. The blenny is in QT right now with some chromis and a fox face. Maybe I'll wait till they come out of quarantine before I get the misses her watchman. Thanks for the info everybody, didn't want to risk it.

@clownenthusiast2017 I have an unrelated question that you may be able to help me with. I recently learned that my snow onyx ocellaris clowns are not symbionts with my sebae crispa, I was given a list of the twelve sub species of clowns that are but cannot find any besides clarki for sale on any websites I know of that sell fish. The clarki is not my favorite from what I have found and I was wondering if you knew of any websites that might have a better selection of clown morphs for me look through?

I guess I still have a YWG but I NEVER see him. I mean never. He is a frequent flyer of my overflow so quite frankly I don't care if he gets nommed by other fish because he noms himself into my overflow.

Blenny v Goby: Survey says! Blenny will win every time.

I have a YWG and a bicolor blenny in 45 gallon tank. They get along fine. But the bicolor dottyback does harass the goby. The goby only partially emerges from his lair with his pistol shrimp but I see him regularly and sometimes the shrimp excavating.

I got my clowns from Cultivated Reef and I would HIGHLY recommend them. They have a whole bunch of different clown morphs so maybe you'd be able to find what you're looking for on there. Their customer service is impeccable so if you have any questions regarding their fish don;t hesitate to send them an email

So would they not have enough to eat if they were in same 30 gallon tank? Or should I put one in 50 gallon? And if so, which one? Eventually, I’m going to get some tangs so I want to have enuf algae to go around.
