Hello Everyone! So, I didn't realize how much I loved blennies. There's such a variety of them, like some that each algae and rock hop, some that act somewhat like jawfish by creating burrows. Such a variety and I can just imagine a whole tank with blennies, some of their heads poking out, some just swimming like an eel, etc. The only problem here is that from what I learnt, blennies hate each other. I have no idea why, I don't know if its food or just they don't like the shape of eachother but is there a way to keep multiple blennies in a single aquarium?

Not usually, depends on how large of a tank, like very large. They are highly territorial and will attack even tangs or other new comers once established. Especially algae grazers.

It's somewhat possible if you have two blennies that are very different from each other. The fanged blennies, for example, are swimmers who don't much resemble typical rock-hopping blennies, so they can sometimes work with one of the rock-hopping shaped blennies. You have to pick two of the least territorial species, too. You want fish that will ignore each other.
But as a general rule, blennies don't go in the same tank, no. Many types of fish are aggressive towards other fish that are similar to them, in an effort to chase away competition. It helps keep the whole population of, say, lawnmower blennies healthy, if none of the lawnmowers can crowd together and eat all the food in one area.

That does make alot of sense. What would you think of a Red SPot Blenny and a lawnmower blenny?

Those are both about the same shape, and lawnmower blennies are one of the larger, more aggressive blennies anyway. About the only way you're going to get two blennies in the same tank without a lot of problems is if one of those blennies is basically not a blenny for practical purposes. Like this guy.

I have a large Lawnmower Blennie and a Bicolour Blennie in my 5’ tank and they both get on well. I guess it depends on your tank size and choice of Blennie. I find that (within reason) adding fish as juveniles in fairly quick succession helps in the socialisation process.

So maybe I should get them young, also maybe have enough food so there isn't any competition.
