Sorry ! Sounds like if the fish wasn’t thin like I thought I saw, that this was indeed shipping damage. I would consider euthanasia at this point. Clove oil if you can get it. Ethanol also works, 20 ml per liter, if you have 90%, or if using vodka, you need to set up a ratio and recalculate based on that percentage: use 40 ml if it is 45% alcohol.
