They do sort of look like the blue clove polyps I used to have. I had to start a new tank to get rid of them. Seeing as how they are attached to another coral, you're going to have a hard time getting rid of them completely. Scraping them off is only a temporary solution in my experience and they will be back within a couple of weeks. They will stay on a particular rock but they also have the ability to spawn in the aquarium and take it over, though spawning is rare.i just noticed this clump of what I think is blue clove polyps growing on my brain. The brain is isolated in the sand bed. That being said, is there a risk to them taking over my tank or are they ok isolated in their brain Island? Would I be better off if I removed the brain and scraped them off?
The real blue ones. Very. How likely are they to spawn in the tank?
Can you post a different picture under white lighting, no blues on?i just noticed this clump of what I think is blue clove polyps growing on my brain. The brain is isolated in the sand bed.
