Blue dartfish

So, I have had two blue dart fish for about two weeks. I have barely seen them. And when I do, it is never both at the same time. Well tonight, they decided they were ready to join the party! They not only came out, but then started diving into the sand to appear in another section of the tank. They have clearly created a bunch of tunnels under the sand and live rock. I went from not loving these two to moving them up my list of favorites - lol! Anybody else have a dart fish story?

I have three blue gudgeons. I like them, but they are my least favorite of my dartfish due to their constant digging and being too reclusive in my new tank. In my previous tank with more suitable tankmates, they were among my favorites.

My story to share, I got one several years ago. I introduced it and never saw it again. A year later I added a pair and within a week all three were happily digging all over my tank. They truly do fare better in groups I guess.

Unfortunately my Dartfish experience was negative. Had a Purple Firefish and Scissortail and just about every fish picked on them. Won't own another one again. Too skittish and too much time in hiding for my tastes.
