I have had this guy for about 4mnths. 2 days ago it decided to split. My question is, it looks like it is going to split again. Is this common for these mushrooms? All my other mushrooms have only made new babies not split. Didnt know if this type could do that or just split.
Here is a pic of the guy as of 15 min ago.

Fairly common for that type of mushroom to split. They have a pretty strong sting so if its not an "all softy" tank I would keep them contained to an area.

splitting is the only way that my fuzzies reproduce, so I would say from my experience it is natural and normal for this to happen

Like Reef Goddess said they are quite aggressive and can sting just about any coral. I would as she said keep them confined to one area....

Thanks for the responses. I knew they could cause a little havoc. It is actually sitting next to my RBA. Every thing else is away from it. Guess I now have a new shroom to trade with. Again thanks for the comments.
