It took me awhile to find the sweet spot for my Sour Apple birds nest. Once I did though, it colored back up again beautifully! If you haven't already, try placing it down low for a month or so. If it starts to color up again, slowly move it higher, or leave it on a plug on the sand bed. I've seen some impressive stylophora colonies growing towards the bottom. :)
Thanks guys for the quick replies! Kudos! :) What I've done just now is turn my lights down. Whites @20% max and blues @30% max.
All my corals are LPS plus the 1 Birds Nest. So lowering the light intensity shouldn't bother them much. Seemed a better option then having to move the BN, seeing as it's epoxied to the rock :) Should this help? Getting the hang of these LEDs is proving to be a challenge.
I'm using the RR light also. I've kept my schedule the same when I acclimated my coral but I just put my light way up on the hardware to like 2' above the tank than moved it down for 3 weeks slowly. Idk
