Hi I am looking at getting a blue ribbon eel to add to my 500l tank. The ribbon eel has been eating frozen for 6m in store already. I have a couple of questions if someone could help…

1. There is already a 6m old snowflake eel in the tank- will that work?
2. What size pvc pipe is best for a ribbon eel?
3. Any other tips?

Thanks in advance!

Have you seen it eat frozen? If so I would get it. Snowflake should be fine, I have mine in a tank with 3 other morays, 4 total including her.

Ok great! Yes seen it eat frozen and it’s been in the store for months. I’m just adding more to the aquascape- will 1 1/4” pvc be big enough for it through maturity?
Thanks for your help!

I dont keep ribbons, I keep morays so I dont use pvc pipes. The one ribbon I had was a ghost ribbon which is a different kins of eel than the real ribbon eels. Never kept them because of how hard it is to get them on frozen.
