I have had my blue spot jaw fish for about a year now. It likes to move around the tank every so often, especially when I clean to close to it's current burrow. Today I woke up to find it had moved and it's new home was in an interesting place.

Sounds like your water was way too hot. They like cold temps for sure

Mine liked this spot for a couple days but hasn't seemed to settled in to a permanent home just yet

Beautiful fish and zoa garden! My blue spot also wonders around the tank; especially after lights out. I usually wake to find him in a different cave, but by the time I return from work, he's in his old cave. Silly fish!

I was worried about that infection when I was first thinking about getting one.

I've always read they like cooler water but my tank reaches 81 degrees regularly and so far he's been nice and healthy. I'm not sure how it will affect his life expectancy though.

When I first got him he would always jump at night. I would have to dig him out the overflows but he doesn't do it anymore.

My tank stays steady between 78-79. I may have once caught it hitting 80. But that’s not the norm.
