Looking for any tips on blue spotted Jawfish.

I've read they are prone to disease from rough handling and higher temperature. I've also read that people keep their temps at around 77-78 range with no issues.

What do you all keep your temperatures at?

Watching. We get one tomorrow and are very excited about it. The temp in our tank varies between 78º and 79º.

regular reef temp is good. be warned they are diggers and will move stuff around

Jumpers also, you’ll need a tight fitting screen top....they seem to find the smallest opening.
Have never had any issues with disease.

I made it a nice home. My tank is pretty secure except a small ~1inch opening in the back where the return and overflow box is. And where I bracket my lights. Theres really only like 1-2 one inch spots that are open.. hopefully it won’t jump out of it.. maybe i should get it covered to be sure before i buy.

It jumped :( somehow it made it to the front of the tank where it's completely covered... i really enjoyed it while it lasted though. Took it a little bit to "understand" the home but it really worked well while it did.
