Blue spotted puffer in reef tank?

Do any of you have a blue spotted puffer? Do they eat inverts or pick at coral? I'm debating whether I should put one in my reef tank or not. What do you guys think?

The ones I have had in tanks would nip at anything fleshy.

Yea puffers tend to pick at everything. which is such a shame because they are very cool looking fish.

I have kept Vanentini's in reef's for years with no issues with coral. They never touched my cleaners but would pick at snails. Also they had an appetite for astrea stars which imo is a good thing

I've had a blue spotted for about 8 months now and have had no problems with him. He completely rid my tank of vermetid snails though which I thank him for! I've never seen him pick at my soft or lps corals, I don't keep sps. I have seen him take a stab at hermits and snails occasionally though, but nothing more than a quick poke. I do feed live black worms though so that may be keeping his appetite curbed.

Aqua_tank_girl on instagram has been posting her tank for months having a blue spotted puffer. Filled with torch, elegance, duncan corals etc.

Well I had mine with a torch, hammer, monti, mushrooms, leather and xenia. It would only nip on the monti which I didn't mind. But when I added my acan and scolly it started nipping at those and to the sump he went.
