Sorry to hear and as mentioned “moribund”, similar to being comatose
If you get another one, look for normal breathing, ask to see it eat and assure it’s got vitality and not skinny

any tang you recommend that are hardier than these ones?

These tangs are hardy but you want a healthy specimen. Mine is about 9 inches.
Tomini tang and chocolate tangs are great tangs

So most likely this one was an unhealthy one? The guys at the fish store just gave me this one without telling me anything. Ever since then he didn't eat at all and kept hiding while slowly turning white. All my parameters were fine and the other fishes are still healthy.
