Blue throat trigger

I'd say probably not. They go after anything meaty.
 
I think it’s another case of depends on individual fish. Have seen a few pair that never bothered anything then others that are pests.
 
I have not had any issue with my Blue Throats touching coral. I don't have clams though. I have LPS in my tank.


When reading up and following this board, I was under the impression that the blue throat and crosshatch were triggers that could be reef safe.
 
Can’t offer any help on the clam part of your question, but my pair don’t even look at my lps corals. Very cool fish, willing to be hand fed and even touched.
