Got my blue tuxedo urchin in from liveaquaria, The bag had a bunch of spines in it and he doesn't seem to be moving inside of the acclimation container. Hopefully this is just from him being scared, but I fear he's on his way out.

If he's not dead yet, he's on his way. Once they begin dropping spines, it's difficult to nurse them back to health.

You should do your best to get him gently acclimated and into a QT.

yea i agree....he doesn't look so hot....Id QT em 1st....it is possible that he have had a rough ride via shipping but from the photo he looks kinda "bald" to me which is not a good sign....like mentioned he could be dead or dying

He's dead he hasn't moved from one spot in 3 hours. I'm in the process of contacting liveaquaria to see about getting a replacement. When I pulled the bag from the box he had already lost at least 100+ spines

Dam he dont look good hopefully he pulls through
No he died I think he was gone before it even got here. When I contacted their customer support they gave me a choice of store credit or put it back on the credit card. Also they will send me a new one I believe was kind of losing connection. I guess its apart of their 14 day guarantee. A++

Ive had mine for about a month it got a little smaller spines on it sence day one but still gets around with a bunch of stuff sticking to him chunks of crushed coral n even found a small branch of xenia stuck to him lol so I grabbed it off him n stuck it in my pico

I wanted one to eat some of the coralline on the glass it is really taking off and soon I wont be able to see in it

Well they are good for that and every other algae....just know that it may accidentally bulldoze corals that may not affixed to your rock when searching for food....
