Tank has been doing well for the past month. I had a dino flare up but I put the UV sterilizer back into action and they went away within a couple days. I picked up a tester sps- green birdsnest frag, a starry blenny, and two purple firefish.

Looks nice. How do the two fire fish do together?

They are doing great. I've always kept them in pairs and never had any issues. They are very peaceful fish. It took them a couple days to stay out in the open as my clowns and yellow tang kept making them retreat back under the rocks but now they are out almost 100% of the time.

Ended up picking up three last weekend. They are awesome. I have read so much that they are reclusive but these guys are always grouped up out in the open swimming in the current

Awesome! Glad you ended up getting them. They are neat little fish. Mine are always out in the open too now that they settled in. Eat like pigs too!

Jon was nice enough to snap me off a monster piece of his 6 year old chalice. I just need to find a place to mount this bad boy.

This order is from Aric at Emerald Reef Supply. He is local to me but he does also have a website. I actually had these shipped to me through the website even though hes close to me. The closest LFS is 2 hours from me. So the in state shipping cost was better than driving there hah.

Great looking build!
Just went through the entire thread and it looks like you have had the full ride with this one and you are currently running on a high note. I like it and it looks really nice.

Thank you! Definitely had its ups and downs along the way. It is kind of on a high note as all the corals are growing nicely and no deaths in a long while.

It just seems like a never ending battle with the bryopsis and the turf algae. Been doing manual removal twice a week to keep it at bay but some spots are tough to get my fingers into.

We are also on the verge of another dino outbreak. So trying to keep nutrients elevated before we go down that road again.

Got 3 little aiptasia popping out of the rocks so that is part of the new battle plan. I got a file fish but the only thing he ate were my zoas. So hes currently in the sump on time out. I tried the boiling water syringe but 2 out of 3 aiptasia came back out the same day. And I dont like the syringe method because it seems to cause them to multiply if you dont get them on the first shot. So I may try the file fish one more time before I dismantle the rock scape and bust out the chisel.

But on a positive note, The RFG's are kickin butt! Definitely pleased with them!!
