I am looking for a small bottom dwelling fish. Something similar to the Yellow Brotulid, a fish that stays reclusive and hidden and may only come out at night. One that likes/prefers to stay hidden. Unfortunately, I can't find the Yellow Brotulid anywhere. So I'm willing to go for a second or next best.

I have a 40 Gallon Nuvo - For tank reference refer to the pictures!

My Wheelers Gobies mostly come out of their house they share with a pistol to eat. Sometimes they come out when the shrimp is cleaning but stay close so they can dive back in quickly, very interesting fish.

Black barred circus goby, Priolepis nocturna, might fit the bill.

Mine doesnt stay on the bottom exactly, but he is always upside down under a ledge near the bottom. It's always fun to search for him.

Divers den on live aquaria has yellow brotulid available relatively often if you’re willing to buy online.
