I decided to go with two of Echotech Radion XR15 Blues. It was a toss up between the Dalua illumagic x4 and these. Decided to go with the Radions because I had them on my first tank and always performed well. My final light goal will be 2 Radion xr15 blues and use a hybrid mount and add two Blade Smart LED Strip - Coral Grow (30 inch)

Coming along! Looking forward to an update. Did you pick a skimmer yet?
Thanks! It’s kinda been at a standstill. I pick up my aquascape from Chandler rocks Dec 4th then I can start posting more updates. I put in CaribSea Fiji pink live sand in. I have been running the water since then. I also ordered a Lid with evaporation covers from Toplids. It should actually be in tomorrow. I have been looking long and hard on which protein skimmer I should get. Any recommendations? @MonsoonMan&RainChild

Just received the Regal 150SSS 6" Space Saving Protein Skimmer (VarioS) - Reef Octopus. Fits perfectly. Just need to play with the water level. I’ll probably get a stand to raise it a couple of inches.

Tank looks rad and that scape is amazing! Congrats

Very tall what are you going to be growing?

I love my XR-15’s and they will grow anything! Love the control ability and colors via the app

@Segalplayer I’m a newer reefer. Not sure if I’m ready for that yet lol. I’m trying to build slow and steady. Really want to learn more about controllers and dosing
I will say you will have success and failures with both. I personally run no controllers besides the free Mobius app (ecotech products) for lighting and my mp10’s. Next purchase it probably a main pump that I can control with it.

My controller I use is how my corals look. If they look ticked off and not inflated or puffy I will do a WC and if still ticked off then I know it’s time to give the sand a vacuum.

I used to be one of those daily dosers and testers by hand which is totes good in the start so you get an understanding of what your tank consumes but then it comes down to how much time you wanna spend in your tank. I was doing like an hour a day of testing, spot feedings, and other items. Now I’m more of a I change my filter floss every day or every other day and feed every 1-3 days for corals and fish every other and a water change weekly. Corals seemed much happier with a little amount weekly than a big amount monthly imo. But the. Again some people don’t even do water changes which is when you’d wanna 100% dose since you can add those elements back through a WC and make sure to have nutrient exports on lock down as in a fuge or big A skimmer and low nutrients added.

Feel free to pm if you have any questions and good luck bruv. Set up is rad and bigger tanks are better to start with so you’re on track already

“Santa” is up putting presents under the tree. So I figured I would give a tank update. Tank has been cycling for almost 3 weeks. I use Fritz turbo start 900 and AlgaeBarn Nitrocycle to give it a jump start. I have also been adding mix blend of coepods and phytoplankton from @ReefLegends. (great place to buy from) … Hit a stall in the cycle and had a little bacteria bloom so I added a little bit of active carbon and kicked the protein skimmer on to add a little bit of aeration to water to help with the nitrite stall. After about 2 hours of a light skim the water is perfectly clear and I got this green skim out of the protein skimmer
