So I have a female Ornate Boxfish that will be done QT in about a week that I got to pair up with my male in their own tank. She’s about 1-1.5” and he’s around 5” and I’m slightly concerned about placing them together with the size difference. I’ve never seen aggression out of the male toward his current tank mates, just not sure how they will react to each other. Anyone had experience with Boxfish pairing?

How big is the tank. Boxfish l/trunkfish/cowfish can be territorial with each other.

That doesn't seem like a good idea. You should have a significantly larger tank.

There is a larger tank in their future, the 70 is just what the male is setup in currently, I was just unsure of any possible aggression due to size. Also in my previous post I said “current tank mates” when I should have said previous. He is currently by himself.

It's not a good idea to house 2 boxfish in a 70g tank.
