If one gets a boxfish, lets say a scribbled boxfish, should they be worried about the boxfish nuking the tank if they have only peaceful tankmates with it? I think i know the anwser, just wanted to make sure

Did that ever nuke the tank?I’ve never had a box fish release toxins except when freshly collected. I have however noticed a disturbing trend over the years - where the trunk/cowfish do well (once through quarantine) but then I lose them before a year or so.

No - the only time I've ever had issues with trunkfish is right after they are collected - putting them in with other fish is a problem. I hear stories once in awhile of these nuking tanks, but I've not had that happen myself.Did that ever nuke the tank?
