Really nice planted saltwater tank. I have a 75 gallon I am planning on setting up with mangroves and macroalgae. Have you found a good source for macro algaes? Where you able to get the manatee grass or turtle grass to take hold? I have heard they are harder to keep and maintain.

I love mangroves too.
When I want to test my $5.00 swing arm hydrometer, I take it to the airport and get on a plane to the tropics, rent a car and drive to a marina. Rent a boat and sail out to a mangrove Island. Jump in the water with the thing and fill it with water. Then I put a line on it with a permanent marker where the arm floats. Get back in the boat, back to the marina, take the car back to the airport, go home and test my water.
It works like a charm and only takes a week and a few grand.

I can't comment on the efficiency but sounds wonderful.

This is a stunning tank!! I always love seeing macros incorporated into reefs!
If you don't mind me asking, where do you get your algaes from? And how do you keep them from overtaking your corals?
