branching poker star?

It could be vermetid snails that were grown over. Mine did that with the little ones.

I had though that at first to but the what the branches are they would have had to cut the snail shell to frag it, and the branches are random not in a spiral appearance.
 
I asked the guy who sold the frag to the store and he said that they are growing over soft baby feather dusters. That they some times break off or just grow completely over the duster and stop growing. So sadly its not branching.
 
I have a local guy that has his branch too I think. Or maybe it's his sunset monti but it doesn't branch like a normal branching monti. Just little stubs coming up.
 
Yeah thats how the one I've got looks. It doesn't look like a branch its like horn shaped kinda. but its apparently a tube work growing through it.
 
I will take one in a bit. I apologize ahead of time for the poor photo quality. I havnt figured out the right camera setting since I made a light upgrade.
