It's definitely not a blue linckia. This is mostly brown with blue/silver highlights. A blue linckia is very very very blue.Looks like a Blue Linckia to me. Not sure if it's reef safe.
I was told its a FL common star fish, but wanted to verify before adding to the display. He's not being a jerk in the frag tank currently.Any info on where it was collected?
That looks almost exactly like it, so I'd say its the sameDefinitely looks to be of the Echinaster species. I also founf this which looks very similar.
If it’s E. Sentus per that thread it’s reef safe with caution for clams, anemones and sponges.
