for months during cyano Ihad reddish brown snout. It looked like Dino’s in a local tank. Not sure what it was but after I got some Nutrients, keeping filter socks clean daily, increased flow and blowing off rocks it went away. I also added extra dose of Phyto but most likely it didn’t help.
hope you figure it out

It would be very rare to see cyano and Dino at the same time.

Most who have Dino are eager to get cyano to combat it

That is a beautiful fish! Our stocking choices weren’t the best, just stuff from petco. A school of barbs, pleco, 2 pictus, an upside down cat, the big purple shark, and a couple glow fish. Tank looks pretty good though, if I do say so myself!

thx. A real bummer. I have another on order. The yellow watchman goby, branch hammer coral, and hermit crabs are all doing fine. I have believe it was the fish and not me. Everything else is doing fine with this order. Fingers crossed. If this one doesn't work out, I'm concentrating on corals and worry about adding fish down the road. Here's a pic of the hammer.

I have a bit of cyano, and I'm not in any rush to be rid of it. If it gets bad I'll just add a few scarlet hermits to my order.

Cyano ain’t no thing.

Last thing to worry about with a reef tank
Little tooth brush action and it's off the rocks. Im not worried about the sand bed right now, just keep my zoas and acans uncovered and I'm good.

That and it’s not harmful to corals, is easily basted off, I’m chill as long as it doesn’t grow on top of the frags
