Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Cyano isn't an issue in mine, but the other tank yes. I was wondering the same thing about the timing.

Ah. Got it. I forget stuff.
Co2 build up can often lead to cyano.
So maybe the wrong track.

The blue bottle is just aminos.
No apperant organic carbon source.

Fwiw , a GREAT article on aminos

King Neptune was taken when I signed up for clay-boa :(

Clay-boa! Now that is old school! Ha!

I still call it that to mess with my mod friend. I refer to r2r as clay-boa, or diet RC in person. It keeps us all amused lol

At least n+1, where N = the amount of skimmers you'll get off your butt and add to the tank?

Exactly why I planned to drill holes in my hood. Just to see. I thought I understood that correctly.

Is there a feeding door you can prop open with a power head pointed towards the surface? Thats what i do when the place is sealed up for heat or AC.

Already did it:)

The hood is poison !!

The hood is not poison. The hood is ok in moderation. Just like high fructose corn syrup.

A positive update. Bad timing, but...prior to the hiccup, I had ordered some nudis. I'm hoping a natural remedy might be good to get rid of my aiptasia. So far, everything else has made them multiply. Anyway...they arrived yesterday in much cooler weather than was expected.

[Katrina71]

I had never seen these guys in person. Very cool little dragon looking critters. Much to my surprise, all 7 made it alive and safely made it to shelter in the tank.

[Katrina71]

I got them from The MacroMan on eBay. I have bought from him more than once. Trusted seller

[Katrina71]

I did make arrangements to re-home them after the food source is gone. Maybe a foolish newb dream, but I am trying to be responsible.

[Scurvy]

Finding them once theyve done their job is the hard part. I added four to a tank a while back. They demolished the aiptasia but I never saw a single one after adding them.

Ok. Good to know. I was the girl that tried to re-home a starfish...

Probably the same expression I had when my son's goby swallowed a brittle star whole. Lol

[Katrina71]

I'm seeing some little aiptasia missing today!
