Do you have one in the tank, or are they both in the sump?
That was what I was wondering. Thanks!Skimmer before fuge here as well.
Both in the top now, after the extended power outage when I moved the smaller one up as well I didn't see the point of having them in the sump!
They work fine in the sump by the way.
So I just quickly drew a shop drawing to make sure we had enough sump capacity for drain down during power outages and to allow for pumps like the Sicce 2.0 and Eheim 1260. I am an old dog so no fancy 3D computer generated pictures from me. I may need to darken up the drawing but this is a general idea based on the dimensions Katrina 71 gave me.![]()
Never apologize. This thread is all about learning! I will have the same question someday.
Um. I don’t see how that could happen. That's cool and all, but ground probes are debated. Lots of people don't think they do anything, or have been shocked anyways, and on some occasions the ground plug has shut down a tank when a house got a little power surge (I get those all the time), killing everything while people were gone.
It's always more complicated than yes or no in this hobby katrina. If you think anything here is simple, then you're not looking close enough.
Sounds like you're happy with everything presently except the noise. If this is the case, I would definitely do a Stockman Standpipe. Costs about $10 to make your own and takes about 20 minutes. Here's a video that explains it much easier and quicker than I could type it out. Good luck!
