Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Everyone in your family and friends ok?
Thanks for asking, Yes Thanks God all are OK, we didn't send the kids to the school that day. however my wife had many troubles returning back from work with many main roads closures.
My home is in a high area so its safer than downtown.

Looks like Louisiana. Not fun living at or below sea level at times. There was a massive flood in 2016 around the Baton Rouge area. Houses under water up to the roof line. And then there are the hurricanes...

Happy Mardi Gras everybody! I hope you all pass a good time today! :-)

Although I don't know you, Fadi, I am happy your loved ones are safe. Call me psycho, um I mean psychic, but I have a funny feeling that our not knowing each other is going to change.

Many of what are called "100 year events" are happening more and more often these days. I hope the city visits ideas for water handling and implements some type of relief for the future.

It's Fat Tuesday! (Well, when you are me, every Tuesday is Fat Tuesday! ;Hilarious)

I think a lot of people call it, "Big Boned Tuesday!" ;)

First Hawk I ever owned. Great fish. Out all of the time and the other fish ignore him completely.
i always thought they were a "with caution" fish.

Thank You !! they had plans and they gave warnings about heavy rain coming and closed schools. but know one imagined that will happen, we usually get heavy blizzard every 3-4 years but milts slowly. but this rain is a first. I am sure they do something to enhance water handling.

maybe it is climate change ?

Ssshhhh...

I love his name and, especially so, because all the other artists, I mean fish, ignore him. I just really hope he doesn't cut off one of his fins!

The 1” is the drain and the 3/4” is a return line. Lots of (mostly older) reef ready tanks came this way. The 3/4” isn’t large enough to act as an emergency drain. I would use it as is, or drill the 3/4” to accept a 1” backup drain. My 140 was plumbed the same way - except there were two overflows. So if one drain stopped up, you still had a second drain. @Katrina71 , is there one or two overflows in the tank? Sorry, but I have missed a lot of what has been discussed. :)
Just one. This is a Glass Cages tank. Oversized pipe.
