Too much free time

That photo is incredible. I love sharks. Have only seen one in the wild. A small nurse. But, it was still cool.

I had a Nurse shark from Florida in one of the aquariums I maintained. One of the local kids named him Sam Bob. He lived in three different tanks over the years until the last tank almost failed (no I did not build it). I once transported him to the last tank in a 50 gallon tank seat belted into my Hino cab over truck. He was slurping down 12" trout before we packaged him up and shipped him back to the collector in Florida for release. Sam Bob was over 3' long when we released him back to the wild. One tough shark! I kept him at my house for over a year in a 300 gallon Brute tank. Lots of personality. Sharks get too big and belong in the ocean....there I said it.

I saw a small (3 ft?) Black tip reef shark while snorkeling in Maui last year. I tried to swim fast enough to keep up with it since it was just cruising, but they are so fast! Beautiful animal.
Where on Maui did you stay? I’m going there in a few weeks.

so pretty. Hows the job search
There is something coming up, as software engineer technical team lead. This take a lot of time to finalize here in this country.

I just wanna say how much I appreciate a place like this... this whole website, and this thread too.

Facebook reef groups can get so toxic. That #askbrstv group is like poison... I'm probably going to leave all of them and say to heck with it all but R2R and the local group. So many people who just want to argue and try and belittle someone, just for the heck of it.

We stayed in Kehei. We stayed at Kamaole Sands condos. Great place, a little bit quieter than Kaanapali at night. Check out Makena Landing Park for snorkeling. There is a small sandy spot to go into the water, and then swimming north following the rocky coast. The further you go the better it gets, and it starts off pretty good. Also, check out Gazebos for breakfast. We have been twice in the past 2 years. I fell in love with Maui

I have just about given up on all of facebook except the market place.

Even that can be ridiculous.

Sorry @Lowell Lemon we are going to have two bamboo cats in a lagoon pool in the store. That being said, they will be tank raised and the tank raised ones typically don't exceed 24".

I would never have a free swimmer like a black tip or something in an aquarium.

Nice nice! Wow yea I’ve been twice in the past 2 years too! I didn’t know what I was missing until recently ! lol. My wife’s mom got rooked into a timeshare at the Westin kannapali and she never goes, so we go! For free! lol.

+1 to both thoughts. Luckily the local market and club FB dont get to negative, but I value R2R immensely. Thank you Revhtree and every member that keeps this positive!

People are so eager to talk down to someone else and argue. Its, disheartening.

I feel ya. The only people that make me crazy are the people with struggling tanks that have the trifecta; tap water, super cheap bad lights, hob filter. They just don’t listen to logic ime, lol.

Like just last night, someone was asking why the hobby was getting more expensive and I was explaining that I thought it was because of the laws of supply and demand. The hobby is growing, more people are interested in salt water tanks because advances in the industry have made it easier to keep one. More people are buying tanks and equipment, which means demand is up. High demand, high cost.

Then some fool comes in and tries to start an arguement with me that there is actually no law that states companies have to raise prices because more people are buying a product.

I was stationed there (Oahu) in the Army. We took care of a lot of island kids all the way to Palau.
Loved the pineapple so much I don’t like any other now!
