Our walmart currently has like 8 of the small self checkouts on both sides, plus 2 of the self checkouts with the belt... theres not many of actual registers left and usually only one of those is manned. They can have one person monitor the 8 small and 2 belt self checkouts on each side of the store and still pay them the same as a cashier running one register.

The one traditional register they keep open is the one with the tobacco products.

Nj is raising there unemployment to $15 an hour also. Guess it is to offset the cost to put illegal residents through collage. I need to move anyone have an extra bedroom?

Saw some of the 11:00 news on the local ABC channel. Didn't look good for rain totals, wind wont be the bad thing as they are only calling for a Cat1, but the amount of rain its gonna drop on an already high river... hopefully @Fin has the pirate ship stocked and the hatches battened down.
