I am in Sydney Australia and the tank is SPS dominant, This is my first tank having jumped straight into Saltwater. I had a few little incidents over the time having the tank and the cabinet got water damaged. I had been looking to replace the cabinet but it wasn't that cheap to purchase a new one from Red Sea, I was going to build a new cabinet and then my LFS said they had a customer selling a Red Sea Reefer 425XL for cheap so I jumped on it and grabbed it. Below are some photos showing the tear down. The plan was to empty the tank and place the new tank in its place, I had help from friends that own an LFS so was prepared to do the switch.

Unfortunately not everything went to plan as you will see below.

We got everything out of the tanks fine, moved the old tank out and moved the new cabinet in and got it level and then went to bring the new tank in and this is when things went wrong. Somehow in the 20mins it took us to bring in the cabinet and get it level the bottom of the new tank cracked.

So the only way out was to set the old tank back up on the new cabinet. Below is the photo of everything back in the tank

Unfortunately from the attempted swapping of tanks something happened and I ended up losing over half of the coral in the tank. The SPS started peeling one after another and I never found the cause to why, I was checking all the parameters and they were in check, I did an ICP test and couldn't see any issues. I did a few massive water changes and that didn't seem to help and eventually it calmed and what was left survived.

After this happened I didn't have a lot of motivation to do much with the tank so it just ran in autopilot for 6 months or so until I got the motivation to start bringing it back.

This is what was left once everything stopped dying.

Once I started getting the motivation back I ended up having to move house. So below is the tanks being put back in the new place and the scape changes I made during the move.

I redid the left hand side of the tank as I wanted a taller structure there.

After a month or so I realised I wanted to change the scape on the right side too haha.

This is the most recent FTS from a bit over a month ago. Need to get an updated one as a few pieces have moved around since.
