Hello.

Need a little help. I have a 6 inch white tail in my tank. He was introducted 2 weeks ago. Very healthy looking fish. Since day 1 he eats algae off the rock and sand bed all day. I hang nori all day and i rarely see him eat it, although may he grabs some disintegrated pieces in the column. Has almost no interest in the frozen food I introduce him. Basically goes into hiding everytime i put it in.

Hes a fairly active fish still, but seems to be slowing down in his activity. Don't notice any breathing abnormalities?

If he's still eating algae, think hes ok? He does one tiny white spot on his body I just noticed.

Algae is good but although a herbivore needs a wider diet.
What foods are you offering?
Also a tip - Is it actually not eating . . . . set your cell phone on video mode for about 25 mins and drop a little food and walk away - YOU MUST walk away as they know youre there. Come back and review video and see if its eating when youre not there. If so, its intimidated/ scared being new to tank and will come around. Also lowering white intensity may help as it reduces possible reflection it is seeing of itself
