Is this a pest or a shrimp? The only shrimps in my tank are skunk cleaners.

do I need to remove these from the tank? All of my fish are undergoing quarantine so I don’t have fish in this tank.

Amphipods, commonly known as "scuds" in the freshwater hobby though are also common in marine aquariums. These "pods" are beneficial scavengers in aquaria, will breed, and serve as live food for larger organisms. They are crustaceans but not decapods (10 legs) like crabs, lobsters, and shrimp.
