Broken Air nub

Well, I messed up and while fitting some new plumbing to my tank I managed to break off the air nub on my CPR-Overflow box. Now I need a way to fix it. The only fittings I can find that might work are brass. What effect on the chemistry of the tank would brass have? It needs to fit air line.

I wouldn't use brass, i'm pretty sure it would affect your tank chemistry. If it's possible and you still have the nub, could you glue the nubbin back on? Use some acrylic glue to put it back on or maybe some epoxy? If you don't have the nubbin still, you could seal up the old hole, drill a new hole the size of a check valve (The part where you attach the airline tubing), glue/epoxy the check valve in there and you have a new nub.

I went to the LFS and picked up some of the air line connectors and trimmed them off so they are flush and then super glued that in. It's working like a char. A lot easier than drilling and taping a hole. :)
