What skimmer is that

Any time an electrical conductor is leaking current into saltwater, you’re essentially performing an anodizing process…

Copper (usually) is rapidly dissolved from the electrical conductors, into the system…

I’d recommend doing a copper test, after further large water changes… it is possible that an appreciable amount of copper has already been bound to the live rock, too…

So far nothing is dead it looks like the majority of the current was caught by the rod,im worried of the copper levels I've done a huge water change already have a new pump for skimmer i guess my question is how to get any and all impurities outta my system now

I would say just increase water change schedule over the next few weeks, maybe run some carbon in case any pollutants got into the water.
