Viparspectra is turning out to be one of the better black boxes :)
Tank is looking good
I was delighted to hear that I made a good choice. I was really torn on which ones to buy - but Viparspectra had good reviews on Amazon. I almost didn’t get them since they didn’t have moonlights, but glad I did. I can rig up some moonlights and control them via ReefPi once I get mine finished.

There’s a diy thread going on where the op opened up the his viparspectra and the internals are really clean and well built

Yeah , you can always hack together a moonlight with reef-pi. I use the stock blue led bar from biocube 29, with a 12v wall wart

Thanks man! Still waiting for the acros to grow out.
What is that huge orange coral colony on the right hand side? I love that thing!

Just read your whole thread. What a ride! Tank progression is awesome!

Firefish! Love them but I've never gotten them through QT.

I haven’t either. Hopefully this time is the one!
I’m curious to hear what troubles you both had with them. I have one in QT right now.

One of my RBTAs has been touching one of my millepora frags, so I glued a shell to the side of the frag plug to shield it.

Great solution. This won’t limit the light for the milipora ? All my sps now touching each other :-/

Spent a lot of time moving corals around today. My big RBTA decided to move to the left a couple of weeks ago and I rearranged a couple of rocks to accommodate. He was still encroaching on two other acros so I decided to move them as well - and glad I did. As soon as I moved them he filled in those spots. I also moved one of my torches away from the palys he had been battling and put a Stylophora in his place. Lastly, cut some frags for trading in our local reef group.
