Hello all,
So I know this video probably wont work but I can describe this algae/bacteria nearly perfect. For starters, I am at 10-15ppm no3. This algae is:
- brown/green in color
- no air bubbles attached like dino
- sways around in the current
- can develop “strings” of brown fuz
- it’s super fuzzy, it’s like beard algae in freshwater
- it’s not wire-like
- it’s slightly slime-like, if you see it from the side it looks like a brown translucent coating on rocks
- hasn’t really progressed much either way (no recession or growth)
- some powdery deposits on glass as well that come off in a swipe with magfloat
- can barely be blown off rocks with a turkey baster, it comes off in strings of fuz
here’s the video but I don’t think it will work, it’s really wavy in current.
