Hello!
New here and new to the hobby. We have a 33g Cube that’s been set up since January. We successfully housed 2 clowns and 3 hermits since March. At the beginning of May, we added a Pajama Cardinal, Sexy Shrimp and carpet anem.

Last week, we went out of town and did a water change (normal). We came home after being out for 4 days and we’ve got the brown sludge everywhere. Our sexy shrimp is gone, but everyone else looks happy. (We had a house sitter) We did a water change and it comes off easy with a turkey baster.

Is it new tank syndrome? Do we continue the water changes? It looks horrific. I’ve googled a ton... but keep getting different answers. Help!?

Just did a water change 2 days ago and took the pics right now. It’s growing back fast.
