How long does it take for brown jelly to kill your coral? I got it in my hammer coral probably it was infected about 3-5% out of 100% of the coral. I caught it quick. Just wondering if it’s safe or will it die? It’s been about a week already & still has its tentacles but the skin around Skelton is gone. Will it recover?

Can be several days or weeks depending upon severity. One thing you can do is to siphon any mass with a 2/8" tubing. Can you provide pics of it?

Yeah I cleaned it all up & peroxide dip w/ half water to lift up any dead skin. I’ll upload a photo tomorrow it’s closed up right now I have the lights off. But it does open during the lights on & also reacts to feeding as well

From what I’ve read KFC dip is very effective in treating it. After my first go around with BJD I rounded up all the ingredients and placed them in a box marked KFC to have on hand if needed. I don’t want to lose another coral to BJD and it takes a while to round up all the ingredients.
