Brown Jelly on Scoly?

Woke up to this on my Scoly:

All other corals seem fine. It seems like it developed really quickly. Coral was completely fine yesterday, and suddenly, develops a 0.5cm round spot of decaying flesh.

So far, I tried lightly siphoning the spot with a turkey baster which removed some brownish looking flesh.

I am thinking my next move will be to remove Scoly from tank, then dip in iodine solution.

Any experienced help would be useful.

Decided to just siphon out the decaying flesh and not dip. Ordered some Cipro as I noticed some of my other meaty LPS looking a bit ticked. Here is the Scoly today:

It looks like the bit that was infected is healing over, or it might just be covered by the inflated flesh. Glad it’s puffy though…

Scoly has fully closed up the flesh where the brown jelly was. I have started cipro regardless and my LPS seem to be fluffing back up. Scolys are quite resilient!

Glad it's on the mend. I'd be trying to figure out who or what made the hole.

Honestly, I think it is bacterial. The initial infected portion was not a hole, just a raised mass of decaying flesh. My current assessment is that it’s related to torch coral that had some heads damaged and killed by my hammer coral. My lack of discipline in removing the floating dead flesh matter probably spread an infection around my tank.
