Hi guys what's up, I recently made an account on Reef2Reef and I am looking forward to learning about my 30 gallon reef tank
My 1st question that I want to ask is ..... what is the best way to keep My sand bed Clean? I keep my Aquariam dang near spotless but I just cannot stand my sand getting that brown tint. I changed my flow fan yesterday so that it is now aimed towards the front middle of the glass so that it is hitting the glass then hitting the sand so that hopefully it flows along the sand bed better I had it pointed towards the way top literally pointed straight up as far as it will go but now I changed. Anyone can please Help me it would be highly Appreciated!!! I look forward to hearing back from one of you thanks again

Is it Diotoms?
Do you know what the TDS of the water is?
Could be silicate from the sand

Likely diatoms deriving from silicates which could be in your LFS water.
Nonetheless, reduce white light intensity for a few days and add following snails:
2 turbo
3 astrea
2 trochus
3 cerith
3 nassarius
6 blue leg hermits

These will help keep it clean

+1 on this

being that there's no corals, reduce your light settings and get a CUC
