In 2022 @Bulk Reef Supply became the exclusive dealer for @Aquaforest products and made the Oceanguard tanks available to the USA market. Recently, I see that the Oceanguard have been “discontinued” and no longer stocked. I am an David Aquaforest user and purchased an Oceanguard435 in 2023 from BRS.

I am curious if anyone could provide some context to what I fear might be a forthcoming phase-out.

I wouldn't think they would discontinue them, but that is just my guess

I just wanted to provide an update on what I’ve found.

I spoke with a rep at BRS and they confirmed few things;

1.) BRS will no longer be selling the OceanGuard tanks.

2.) BRS will continue to sell Aquaforest products.

3.) Even though BRS will no longer import the OceanGuard tanks, for those that purchased a tank through them, they will remain a point of contact with the Aquaforest team should any of us need replacement parts or support for the tanks.

In a Facebook Aquaforest group I am part of; Seweryn with Aquaforest confirmed that it is becoming expensive to export their tanks to America. While they will continue to be available in the European markets, Aquaforest will no longer offer export to the US so once existing stock is depleted by BRS/Aperture, that is unfortunately it.

For the few of us that adopted OceanGuards early on now have a somewhat of “collector item”

Makes sense with how import fees are these days, you'd need to be selling big volume like Red Sea or Waterbox and AF tanks are just not as popular in the states.

Agreed and I wonder if tariffs and import taxes might eventually make CADE vaporize from the American markets.
