Hello All.

I mixed 3/4 tsp/gallon of BRS Kalkwasser to my ATO reservoir. By mistake I forgot to unplug the ATO from electricity and it poured some unsettled Kalkwasser solution into sump. My water is now a little bit cloudy in the display. Do you thing is it a problem as the tank is SPS dominated?

Thank you!

As long as it didn't cause a swing in parameters you should be fine. I'd just keep an eye out and make sure that no undissolved kalk settles on the corals.

If the ATO didn’t dose more liquid than usual and the potency of the kalkwasser was normal for you (settled or not), then I would not worry about it.

Thank you so much! Yes that's the case.

Won’t hurt a thing! I’ve had a couple mishaps of kalk over dose “20 gallons” thanks to an optical eye sticking and dumping a fresh batch and zero casualties in my corals or fish! Did take out my return pump with precipitation thou lol.. even got a high score of 9.4 on my ph haha!

Just an update: nothing happened, all the SPS are ok and the tank cleared in 2 hours.
Took mine a good week! Sigh… but all sps were fine!
