I store my awc water tropic marin salt in a brute container with the original lid on. Randy holmes said i can keep the water unheated and unstirred with no issues. However i noticed when i removed the lid, no bacteria or any bad smell just atront plastic smell kinda hard to explain it is that normal?

Leave the lid on :smiling-face-with-halo:

I don’t know what is producing the foul smell but suspect the water is fine?

Bump

They smell like cat pee for some odd reason but I’ve never seen anything negative from it. All my ICP tests come back 0 on RODI so if they are leaching anything, it’s not being picked up on ICP

It's mildew. Simply wipe down with bleach water and dry and rinse. Oder free!

My buckets will develop a smell sometimes, just wash them out and it is pefectly fine!

This is exactly what i was getting ready to say. Another cat pee smelling brute rodi here. I don't really notice it in the brute with saltwater.
