I just received a carpet anemone today and it took up residence next to my BTA. Could this be a potential problem. Any info would help. I just got into reefing a couple months ago and everything has been good so far, I know mistakes will be made. My tank is 50 gallon.

Niether are very neighborly to the other. It may be an excersize in frusrtation but I'd try to move one or the other. (FWIW, picture that blue really don't help in identifying problems, white light that shows the colors better are much more helpful.)

There was a matrix on reef2reef with 6-7 different anemones and compatibility. My certain type of carpet was/is friendly with BTA

Thanks for the info. I did try to move the carpet. Lol. He was dug in deep. I didn’t want to injure him. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. I’m sure one or the other will move on there own if they can’t be neighborly.

I woke up this morning and the carpet was no where to be found. Maybe he was irritated from me touching him. Lol.
