BTA hiding hinder rocks

I have had a BTA for 3 days and its staying under my rocks in a cave is this normal?

Nems can hide out as they adjust to their new tank and look for a suitable location to live. Even when they do find a spot, they most likely will roam again at some point.
I'll also ask how new the tank is, parameters and lighting.
