every coral for at least a month now seem to stay closed for most of the day. I have tested water, ive checked my light and tried different settings, ive done tons of water changes. tank is very stable. I have a BTA in my tank. a green one to be exact. is it possible for this too causeall my corals to close.? could it be releaseing some sort of toxin? Ive been running carbon. it happens every day like clockwork and ever single coral. Light comes on at 10 , corals try to open and then my corals start close back at 1130am, then they start to slowly open back up at 3. they never fully open? what's causing this. it can't be my water. because I have another system and use the same water. ill move corals over to that other tank and the stay opened. im out of options I don't know what else to do

BTAs -- all color morphs -- have been kept with many types of corals without any problems. I'm guessing something else is the culprit.

If you can give us more information about your tank, I'm sure that we can help. Please provide:
  1. Tank size
  2. Type of lighting (include settings, if possible, such as peak intensity)
  3. Type of filter
  4. What additives are you using, if any?
  5. List of tank inhabitants, including fish and coral
  6. Tank parameters: temperature, ph, sg, to start; Alk, CA, and Po4 if you have those numbers
