BTA under plant lights

I am in the process of planning a new 75 Gallon Macroalgae display tank. I will not have any corals. I have purchased AI Prime freshwater LEDs. Could I keep a BTA in this tank? The lights would be bright enough, I’m just not sure if a BTA needs blue light.

White light typically has blue in it. It should be fine. You can always supplement the primes with something like a reefbrite lumilite 50/50

Thank you. It’s going to be nice to have a nem without worrying about corals being run over by it.

I think it should be fine, but it also depends on the dimensions of the tank (high versus long). If the BTA looks like it's not getting enough light, you may need to upgrade your lighting. I'm not too concerned about spectrum, aside from the fact that the BTA would probably look better under bluer light.

Thanks. The tank is only 20” deep, and the light is an AI Prime, so I’m not concerned with intensity just spectrum. I may put a strip of blues in there like Spare Time suggested if the BTA looks too washed out under mostly whites.
