So i have had the elegance a couple of weeks. It has looked great the whole time until this last weekend. Its not been fully opened since then. I bought a complete setup from a guy and put several acros in the system and a few fish, but nothing crazy. I just got coral revive and started to do a dip, but it sounds on the label like its more for sps, and leathers although I know many dip chalice also. So I didnt do a dip. The bubble I bought when I got the new set up. it has not looked good since I got it.

Parameters
spgr:1.025
ph: 8.1
Alk: 6.1 (I know its low, slowly raising)
No detectable ammonia
no detectable Nitrite
Tuesday I did a 35% water change with no detectable change. Acans look great, chalice looks fine. Blasto's look good. Clams look good.

Anybody got an idea?

Cory

i have an elegance that i got locally and its aquacultured,i got a baby and its big now...very hardy...i havent tried buying online as i have read that they are hard to keep when wild caught...
i have tried 2 bubble corals online..and they both declined overtime due to shipping(bubbles have very sharp skeleton so most of the time they get damaged from shipping)
i have a bubble coral right now that is very healthy and huge but i got it from a local reefer....

your alk is low....please post a pic of the bubble and elegance...maybe u should not dip yet so they dont get stress more unless u notice any infection or slime....just correct your alk first and see what happens..keep us updated
