Only used a few months. I banged it against something in the sump and it has a crack which doesn't affect how it operates. Skimmer works great. I didn't clean it too much to allow it to skim right away. This skimmer does have a long break-in period. It won't work in low water so make sure your sump has the right height. The skimmer lid is new I just never took the plastic off.
