Hi everyone,
Until recently my BTA has stayed in one place for almost 1.5 years. It made laps around my tank until it settled on the back wall on top of the GSP. (Yes I am intentionally growing GSP )

Any suggestions on how I can get it to move or release without hurting it?

Happy Holidays!!

I've read and tried the ice cube method. The foot releases pretty quickly.

It’s tricky depending on foot placement. But glass is easy to remove with ice cube trick.
Makes sense that would work. Thanks! I will give it a try.

Just remember, it clearly likes the spot. So a good chance it may go back to that spot. But sometimes there are more equally optimal spots and it just doesn't want to find out lol.

That Anemone has moved to a location where it finds light and flow acceptable. If you move it, it will likely seek out a location more suitable to its taste again. Moving an Anemone out of harms way is necessary. But moving for aesthetic reasons isn't advisable.

I plan to put in one of my other bigger tanks if I can get it off the back wall.

It’s going into a bigger tank with more room to roam if I can get it loose.

Since it’s on the back wall you can peel it off pretty easily, just go slow
