Bubble tip anemone

Im still new too keeping anemones and was wondering if this was normal if it was pooping or a sign of stress i have 3 other anemones that seem to be doing fine is this normal or should i be concerned?

If it does this for an hour or less per day, it's probably OK. Any more than that is concerning.

How long have these been in the tank? What is your salinity and temperature at? During normal light cycle do they plump up or stay like this?

This one has been in my tank for about a month salinity is about 1.026 temp stays around 80 it only seems to do this at night

It’s pretty typical at night for them to deflate and look like this. A couple reasons can include water exchange and pooping. I have 11 rose bubble tips in my 105g and all of them at night will retract. They really are a photosynthetic organism and when the lights are out they retreat. Pictures in my tank showcase if you want to see. I don’t worry too much about what the anemones do unless there’s a big change in water chemistry or light and it puts them on the move. I’ve always been worried keeping a tank at 80° and so I opt for 78°. As long as you keep stable water, they’ll do great!

Some experts who keep nems report that having assorted kinds seems to lead to failure , - PResumably due to (possibly) chemical warfare between the various types?

What others do you have?

Clones are not an issue, but varieties might be?

My other 3 are bubble tip anemones same as this one so i dont believe that is it
